24. apríl bol ustanovený v šesťdesiatych rokoch ako Svetový deň laboratórnych zvierat na podnet National Anitivivisekcion Society NAVS - britskej Spoločnosti proti pokusom na zvieratách, ktorá má dnes pobočky už po celom svete.
 
MačkaOZ Priatelia zvierat pripravilo pri príležitosti tohto dňa v Prešove nasledujúci program:

Štvrtok, 24.4.2008
15:00 - 17:30 - Infoakcia v centre mesta (pred vstupom do parku)
Okrem informačných materiálov uvidíte aj ukážku druhov zvierat využívaných na rôzne pokusy.

18:00 - Premietanie videí s touto tematikou v Čaviarni na Jarkovej 77 (Vysokoškolský klub/Univerzitné pastoračné centrum/Galéria Per Spectrum) - mapa v pokračovaní článku
